My Children! My Africa!

By Athol Fugard

Directed by Eric Ruffin

An aging black teacher and his prised pupil find themselves at odds in their desire to bring about racial justice in South Africa in 1985, under apartheid. The student's call is for revolution and armed struggle while his mentor advocates words. Caught in the crossfire is the liberal white girl whose eyes are opened to both African consciousness and the price of justice.
